1 MILLION VIEWS! And 1st game of Port Royal, 28mm Age of Pirates skirmish
A milestone of sorts, 1 million views for this humble blog I started years ago to showcase my projects for this hobby, I’m glad other have enjoyed their visit here.
We had our first run of the Port Royal Pirate Age skirmish game
The stats thanks to all of you!
The table
Another view
The rulebook. A nice big glossy print great for just perusing for inspiration.
Like Mordheim, it each player controls a “gang”
There are a bunch of different factions to pick from, my team was made up of Jamaican Pirates.
My boys hit the shore
My allies the Maroons. We had for players so the game was split in teams of 2 players vs 2 players
Some of the locals
The objectives were to scour the earthquake ravaged port for as much treasure as possible!
The forces of the Crown, very formidable
My lads go forward for booty!
As well as my Maroon allies
Buildings provide cover as well as creating obstacles!
A fighting withdrawal by my forces from the British Marines
Withering fire between the French and the Maroons
My lads fall back with treasure in hand
Firefight!
Holed up in one of the damaged buildings
A Maroon caught in the open in the street
A look at the rulebook
Shoot out!
In the end the European powers secured the victory as the Maroons fled followed by my forces!
A fun game with easy rules for anyone interested in Pirate skirmish games with some flavor.
More to come,
Doc
