1982 The Road to Sidon 28mm Lebanese Civil War game

 We recently finished a game of Seek Out, Close With and Destroy in 28mm 1982 Operation Peace For Galilee

IDF forces, although they are painted as Paras, they are being used as regular infantry.

The T34/85 makes a sighting attempt and fails, retreating back into the brush line

Forward

The Merkava leaves the road to flank the buildings

Infantry begins to take fire as the PLO attack from the buildings

A car charges the IDF and the driver detonates an IED taking out a M113 and wounding troops

Cautious advances

Flanking forces move on sighted PLO in the buildings

As the other fire team is hit by RPG fire

The Merkava forces fighters out of the building with shelling

The Panhard attempts to sight a M113

And the T34/85 maneuvers to harass

The first floor is cleared with heavy fire followed by a melee charge.

But a second IED takes out another M113 and wounds two infantry groups ending the game with a PLO win.
