Dynamic Customer Relations in Reality’s Edge
Tonight we played through our first game of Reality’s Edge with the Dynamic Customers Relations JobOp.
The two teams are tasked with working together to guide a Noodle Truck through a shady sector block.
The game we played in 15mm scale.
On a 3ft x 3ft table
Some overview shots
The truck starts out from the corner with players being confronted by Sprawl Rats and Poison Roaches
The local fauna and some hallucinating junkies are dispatched while the Shadow Backer uses Gatecrasher to access the Shodokon Industry’s Gates.
Movement in the game felt too small for 15mm. The rules suggested using the ranges for 28mm with cm instead of inches.
But it made progress very slow going without a lot of maneuvering
Advancing up the street
Other discoveries in game were that shooting was not very fatal and very hard to hit. A Console Cowboy with a Machine Pistol failed to hit the entire game even at point blank range.
We knew the truck would not be able to clear the table in 8 turns by the scenario so we settled for the truck docs.
My Ganger trying to keep up with the caravan
Final showdown is more Junkies and some Gangers vs the teams.
And the truck makes it too the changed objective.
So I think for us we might try using the 28mm measurements instead of using metric. Also for this scenario, there was virtually nothing for the Avatars to do. Since the NPCs were not boys or chrome, there was not much use to them in game. The only app used was Gatecrasher to access the door.
More to come,
Doc
Tell me where you live, I will come with a big truck. This is so EPIC!
